When Google was a Stanford research project, it was nicknamed BackRub because the technology checks backlinks to determine a site’s importance.:^

Comment on How much are your electric heaters costing you? by Norma Kaeding http://littlehandytips.com/how-much-are-your-electric-heaters-costing-you/#comment-106787 Norma Kaeding Wed, 08 May 2013 03:25:54 +0000 http://littlehandytips.com/?p=200#comment-106787 A blue flame gas heater is both classical in appearance and stylish enough to meet contemporary expectations. Single-family houses, condominiums, and studios alike will benefit from the impeccable function and stylized detail only a blue flame gas heater can offer. However seamless function only scratches the surface when considering the many benefits of owning a blue flame gas heater.*;

Have a good weekend

You’re the second person to tell me this. I’ll put that change in the next release of the plugin but that have to be in the next few weeks in afraid as I’m swam with work at the moment. I will also need an upgrade strategy to preserve the /in/ for existing users so that the upgrade won’t break their implementation.

Just what I was looking for. I think the linkedin url needs to have the /in/ deleted. My company page for linkedin has linkedin.com/company/company-name/ and the profile page doesn’t have the /in/ in it anymore. Thanks!

You can use a shortcode to choose where you want to put the about author display.

The shortcode is [custom_author=username] or just [custom_author] to display the current author.

Comment on Google Custom Search WordPress Plugin by David http://littlehandytips.com/plugins/google-custom-search/#comment-69329 David Sun, 07 Apr 2013 19:06:42 +0000 http://littlehandytips.com/#comment-69329 I too had problems with having the search bar come up full size instead of shorter; I finally figured out a way around it, and it just involves setting the size of the relevant area that you are putting the search bar in in the CSS of your site. For example, I use the Suffusion theme and, although I kept putting it in the small area on the right hand side of the header, it took up the full header, making it overlap and go above the rest of the header, which didn’t look right at all. But, if I set the area to a specific size in the CSS, it stuck to that size. The “right header widget” area (as Suffusion calls it) that I was trying to put the search bar in is called #right-header-widgets.warea (yes, complete with “w” before “area”) apparently, so i just added a line of code to the base CSS that said:

#right-header-widgets.warea {width: 200px; height: 20px; margin-top:-7px}

(The “height” and “margin-top” tags were primarily to make it appear even nicer and centred).

I hope that this is of a help to anyone else having the search bar be larger than the place they want to put it; this is a fabulous plugin and I don’t want to deprive others of using it if they’re having problems.
